it was to find locally grown roses, I knew there was potential for me to put my lifelong love of flowers and gardening to good use. In 2023, we leased 2.5 acres in Mount Vernon and Thorncrest Rose Farm was born! After 2 years of acquiring the best varieties for cut flower production and use in floral design, in 2025 we will be growing 16 varieties of florist roses in large quantities, along with dozens of other varieties in smaller quantities. 

Although our farm is in Mount Vernon, I spend most of my time in Bellingham where my family and I still live. When I'm not on the farm, you can find me spending time with my two daughters, tending to my home garden, or browsing the bookstore with a coffee in hand.

My name is Emily, and I'm the owner of Thorncrest Rose Farm. I have a penchant for cats, romantasy novels, and all things pink. While I have always had a passion for flowers and gardening, I didn't originally set out to start a rose farm.

I was born and raised in South Louisiana, where I attended Louisiana State University and earned a degree in Climatology. My husband and I moved to Bellingham in 2020, and I quickly realized how well roses grow in the PNW climate. After doing some floral design for small events and seeing how difficult
